SUMMARY:Giants of Time: The Myth\, Mystique\, and Climate Power of the Redwood Forests
DESCRIPTION:Towering\, ancient\, and awe-inspiring\, redwood forests are more than natural wonders—they are living models of climate resilience\, biodiversity\, and long-term stewardship. Join us for an engaging evening with Sam Hodder\, former President and CEO of Save the Redwoods League\, for a wide-ranging conversation on why redwoods matter now more than ever. \nDrawing on more than three decades of leadership in land conservation\, Sam will explore what makes redwoods so extraordinary—from their remarkable biology and longevity to their outsized role in addressing the climate crisis and wildfire resilience. \nSam Hodder brings rare perspective to this conversation. Over a 33-year career in nonprofit land conservation\, including nearly 12 years leading Save the Redwoods League where he helped permanently protect more than 25\,000 acres of redwood forest\, launched California’s most ambitious redwood restoration effort\, and advanced groundbreaking research on redwoods and climate change. \nThis  event\, brought to you by Telluride Science and Telluride Foundation is free and open to the public\, but RSVP is required HERE. \n

SUMMARY:The Pink Pill
DESCRIPTION:Telluride Science is partnering with Original Thinkers and the Telluride Regional Medical Center for a special screening of The Pink Pill—a thought-provoking documentary that takes a closer look at the science and stories behind women’s health. \nThis compelling documentary explores the complex and often controversial world of women’s sexual health and the development of medications designed to address low libido. The Pink Pill invites audiences to consider who defines sexual wellness\, how it is treated\, and what empowerment truly means in the context of women’s health. The film will be introduced by OT Ringleader David Holbrooke. The film runs approximately 1.5 hours and will be followed by a Q & A moderated by Dr. Diana Koelliker. \nThe screening is free and open to the public. Doors open at 5 pm.
