Telluride Science is valued in the scientific community for its ability to generate new ideas, build collaborations, and accelerate research productivity through small-scale interdisciplinary workshops with the world’s leading scientists. Over a 40-year history, the organization has become a force multiplier for scientific advancement in the fields of biomedicine, energy, materials, quantum computing, and climate.
With 50+ workshops per year, our scientists, including Nobel Laureates, represent 400+ institutions annually.
Telluride Science closed on the purchase of the historic Telluride Depot on October 16, 2020. Because of the extraordinary support from our donors, the historic and iconic Depot will not only be our new permanent home, it will also continue to be a robust community resource available to the public.
Educational outreach with the Telluride and regional communities is an important component of our mission. The Telluride Science workshops and Town Talks are inherently educational and the graduate-level summer schools are specific programs within our organization’s core offering.
From cures for disease to new solutions for clean energy and climate change, we have a positive impact well beyond the walls of this box canyon.
