The Last Dive
Telluride Science and Original Thinkers have teamed up to provide the community with some stimulating and thought provoking documentary films. Three films will be shown this winter.
The first film in the series is The Last Dive is a powerful documentary that follows the extraordinary journey of Willy and Terry—two men bound by friendship, resilience, and a shared love of the ocean. What begins as a personal adventure becomes a deeply moving exploration of healing, mortality, and the urgent need to protect our planet’s most fragile marine ecosystems.
Through breathtaking underwater footage and intimate storytelling, the film shows the critical importance of safeguarding manta rays and the vibrant habitats they depend on.
At its heart, The Last Dive is a call to action. After watching, we hope viewers feel inspired to support manta ray research, champion marine conservation, and contribute to initiatives that provide hope and healing to veterans like Terry.
The film is free and open to the public.
