Mountain Towns 2030: Leveraging a Network of Community Leaders to Accelerate Climate Action

September 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

In collaboration with Telluride Science, Telluride Foundation, Mountain Towns 2030, and Eco Action Partners

As climate challenges grow, no community can solve them alone. The most effective solutions often emerge when leaders come together, learn from one another, and take action collectively. And with the window to help solve climate change tightening, speed is essential. Join a conversation with Mountain Towns 20203, alongside community leaders exploring how networks, partnerships, and peer learning are accelerating climate action and resilience efforts in communities of every size – including Telluride and across the surrounding region.

Panelists include Jessica Burley, Sustainability Manager for the Town of Breckenridge; John Clark, Mayor of Ridgway, and  MT2030 Executive Director Chris Steinkamp.

About Mountain Towns 2030:

96% of local leaders cite limited staffing and bandwidth as the number one barrier to climate action. Founded in 2019, Mountain Towns 2030 connects local government, ski resort, and rural leaders through a highly collaborative national network that enables communities to leverage proven solutions, avoid duplicating effort, and accelerate implementation. The result is a force multiplier that builds local capacity to match their ambition; helping communities scale climate solutions faster than they ever could alone. www.mt2030.org
