Event Series: Town Talk

Seeking Elusive Quantum Advantages in Computational Chemistry

August 11 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This Town Talk will be presented by Joonhoo Lee from Harvard University.

Lee will explore the subtleties of realizing quantum advantages in computational chemistry. Drawing on several projects from his research group, he will offer fresh perspectives on how to think about what quantum computing can—and cannot—deliver for chemistry. He will also make the case for why chemists must learn theoretical computer science to prepare for the coming wave of fault-tolerant quantum computing.

This is the last Town Talk of the summer that  will be held oat the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village. The final Town Talk on August 25 will be held at the Telluride Innovation Center in Telluride.  Doors open at 6 pm and the program starts at 6:30 pm. Free and open to the public.
