Breakthroughs in RNA Science: From Basic Research to Medicine
July 14 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Phil Bevilacqua, from Penn State University, will present breakthroughs in RNA medicine over the last decade including using CRISPR for gene editing, developing mRNA vaccines for stopping pandemics and curing cancer, and the investigating the roles of RNA in the origin of life itself. He will also discuss how investing in basic science has led to these translational breakthroughs.
Town Talks will be held on Tuesdays at the Telluride Conference Center in Mountain Village June 9 to August 11 (please note the July 28 talk will be at the Sheridan Opera House). Doors open at 6 pm and the program starts at 6:30 pm. Free and open to the public.
